Abstract |
Background. This research is devoted to overview the collection of Herbarium Florae Rossicae exsicates in the Herbarium of Kazan Federal University KAZ. Materials and methods. Information about herbarium specimens was entered into the KAMIS database and was subjected to a comprehensive analysis, during which the volume of the collection and the time of its collection were clarified. The leading collectors were identified: D.I. Litvinov, V.D. Andreev, I.I. Shiraevsky, N.V. Androsov and N.V. Zinger. The Herbarium Florae Rossicae collection contains 2055 higher vascular plants species. The systematic assignment of 53 % species in the collection has been specified in accordance with modern concepts. Plants of Magnoliophyta division occupy leading position in the collection, among them the leaders in the number of species are families Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae, Brassicaceae, Poaceae and Cyperaceae. Herbarium Florae Rossicae contains plants from 62 regions. The largest number of species was collected in the Caucasus, Turkestan and the Pskov province. In the collections from the Volga region, 72 plant species were identified, which currently have a conservation status. Results and conclusions.Tilling the electronic database with information about Herbarium Florae Rossicae exsicates made it possible to systematize the collection, and to find out valuable information that is important for the study and history of development of Russian flora.
